Lewisville Custom Transmission Complaint - Heads Up - Engine repair

Review by Rampit on 2010-07-03
LEWISVILLE, TEXAS -- Heads Up
For the first time, and also the last time, on January 29th, 2010, Lewisville Custom Transmission of Lewisville, Texas, performed maintenance on my 2001 Nissan Xterra truck, for spark plug replacement, and to repair an oil leak coming from the valve cover area. The cost of this was $420. Steve Schuler, the owner of Lewisville Custom Transmission was very friendly and was happy to have my business. After 1 day I noticed additional oil on my garage floor. After 5 months of additional oil leakage, I scheduled an appointment for June 18, 2010, with Bankston Nissan of Lewisville, Texas. The tech said that the valve cover screw gaskets were installed incorrectly and were leaking, another repair was made for a cost of $628.50. There was no additional oil leakage from the valve covers. I then went back to Lewisville Custom Transmission to see if Mr. Schuler would reimburse at least some of the $800. I spent to have the oil leak repaired.

In June 2010 I entered Lewisville Custom Transmission; Mr. Shuler was behind the counter and again was very friendly and was glad to see me. As I explained what had happened and asked for some reimbursement, Mr. Shuler’s attitude changed completely around in less than 1 second, from being friendly to defensive aggravation and said I should have brought back the truck since the warranty for the work was still in effect. I said, why would I do that if he couldn’t repair the leak correctly the first time. He then told me to get out of his store. Using Lewisville Custom Transmission

Yes, he comes from a long line of scam artists...he recently had my car stolen from his lot, by his own father. It is somewhere in Louisiana & since it is not worth more than $5000, the local police will not help us!! His brother, Chris Shuler, runs the same scams @ Dealer Direct in Orlando. His father actually served time for his felony scams, in the auto industry. Stay far away from these crooks!!
