Best Buy Complaint - BestBuy Worst Buy!
Six months ago, I purchased an LG (Zenith) DLP HDTV for $3,200. I also bought the 4 year extended service warranty. Last month the TV died. LG claims they only warranty the $300 lamp for 90 days, which has spawned an argument between them and BestBuy. I am caught in the middle. I now have a very expensive paperweight in my living room and BestBuy has been balling the TV service guy in red tape, first wanting proof of damage, then model number, then serial number. I have been waiting for them to authorize the repair for the past 2 weeks and there is no end in sight. BB is now arguing with the service guy about how much they are going to pay him. When I call the local store, the phone rings without answer more often than not. When I do get through, they are barely audible (ironic for an electronics store, huh?). I have been on the phone almost daily to get BB off its butt (30 calls so far) and still no action. I will NEVER again buy an LG product and especially not from BestBuy. Had I visited My3cents.com before I made my purchase, I could have saved myself a lot of grief.
