Disney Complaint - Disney California Adventure Security - Fourth Of July

Fourth Of July - Complaint
Review by BadCaliforniaAdventure on 2010-07-05
DENVER, COLORADO -- My family & friends stayed at the California Grand with a 3 day hopper pass over 4th of July weekend. Everytjing was amazing until the actual 4th of July when we tried to watch the fireworks. We lknew Disneyland would be packed so we decided to watch from California Adventure park. The employees directing foot traffic are so rude & inconsiderate it made me angry. They try to make people move out of the park when they are standing trying to watch the show, and 95% of the people are trying to watch the show but they are so disrespectful and rude about having people move away from the area! They need to just let people watch the fireworks and worry about other stuff. I was so disappointed. This was by far the worst 4th of July experience for my self, family & friends. As much as people pay to get into these parks you would think they would know how to better manage and handle situatuons in busy times as the 4th of July. This was a lesson learn for me, family & friends that this place will be a 2nd guess! The staff directing traffic are RUDE & the person in charge of them wearing the white shirts (pretend security officer) was worse than the other traffic directors. I would recommend staying inbetween the two parks to watch the fireworks and not spending your time & energy finding a place in a park & having them boot you out!!!

I'm guessing you were someplace where you weren't supposed to be and were offended when asked to move. That's why Disney hires people to direct traffic and security staff to deal with patrons who don't want to follow the rules. You should have viewed the fireworks from the proper area even if you thought it was too crowded.

Wait a second, you went to Kalifornia adventure park to watch Disney's fireworks?

Was the park trying to close? They close at 10pm while Disneyland closes at midnight. I don't blame the employees for trying to close on time.

Sounds as if the OP was in an area that they were not supposed to be. Employees are not about to ask you to leave an area that is meant to be used during the fireworks.

They probably know better than you what constitutes a fire hazard with so many people milling around. They can't just let a disaster occur because of how much everybody paid to get into the park. I'm sure you would be in line suing them if something had occurred.

Sometimes employees appear to be rude when they are trying to get people to move from where they are supposed to be.
