TicketZoom Complaint - TicketZoom is misleading and overprices

Review by sfjoe2000 on 2010-07-06
TicketZoom does not supply you with the exact seat number. They have text in the description that can be misleading. "On isle with center section" does not mean the tickets are in the center section. The tickets face value was $50. Each ticket cost $86 + $20.64 fee. Additionally, there was a $15 FedEx delivery fee. So two $50 tickets costing $100 actually cost $228.28. The tickets were ordered on 6/26 and arrived on 7/7 (over a week). The US Mail is faster and cheaper than that. I called the customer service department and the gentlemen on the phone was quite rude and said people have paid even more than that. He could not point me to the disclaimer about the tickets being higher than face value and that I had to go through the process of ordering a ticket (but not submit it) to see the disclaimer again. Sounds like ticket scalping to me.

Everything without going through the venue's ticket office is scalping. What did you expect, an online discount? Who would the venue give that to? These are scalpers!

If you don't think that the tickets are worth what they are charging then you shouldn't buy them. The only reason ticket resellers exist is because people are willing to pay the prices they ask for these events. Was the total price for the tickets not presented to you before you purchased them?
