Webb Motor Company LLC Complaint - Dishonest Crook - 2005 Chevy Equinox

Review by sieckmann on 2010-07-07
OFALLON, MISSOURI -- After purchasing a vehicle for 10,000 we drove less than 35 miles and vehicle overheated and dealer refused to help in any way, vehicle ended up leaving my pregnant wife stranded on the side of the interstate for an hour and now I'm out 2000 dollars for head gasket repairs. Way to go Don Webb! The owner blamed his neglect on a bad economy and wasn't really interested in "our" problem anymore.

Did you have any type of warranty when you purchased the car? If not, I am not sure there is much that you can do other than paying for the repairs yourself.

How many miles are on the vehicle? Were tehre any maintenance records to show the vehicle had been maintained properly. My guess is not. It is a 5 year old vehicle and a lot of issues can arise in that time if a vehicle is not properly maintained. If you had a mechanic check the vehicle, you would have known about the head gasket going bad.

How many miles were on the car? Did you have a mechanic take a look at the car either before or after you purchased it? Was it certified pre-owned?

Unfortunately, a lot of times when you buy a used car, it's buyer beware. It's your problem once you pay for it, unless of course you have some sort of warranty.

Depending on the situation, you should probably pursue it further. Don't let him get off easy.
