Comcast Corporation Complaint - Comcast ripping through additional charges
I signed up for all the three services with Comcast (cable/internet/phone) for a monthly fee of 89.99.
The installation guy was not customer friendly, he did not leave manual/brochure of any devices he installed nor did he explain any of the features. He just installed everything and left.
COmcast never mentioned any additional charges other than the taxes for the above package.
When I saw my first full monthly bill within few days of starting the service, they conveniently added some $5 charges as monthly charges for using a router for internet access.
When I called about, they said thats how it works, if you donot want be charged for that $5, then you can return the router but you will not be able use internet without the router ! Ridiculous, then how did they expect me to subscribe for their internet service when I can't use.
Any how I had a similar router of mine and said I will return your router and take off $5 from my bill, they said fine and I returned their router.
After couple of days, I got another monthly bill even before I could complete one month ?? and on top of that they had changed the due date to one week less than the actual due date ?? they did not stop there, they had added another $5+ additional charges this time for using phone??
When I called them again, they said they missed it in the first bill and they are going to include going forward. This is just ridiculous, they are just coming up with one or the other reason to rip customers after signup. These charges were never mentioned when I was opening the account.
