Regions Bank Compliment - Astonomical Fees

Compliment
Review by Tacey on 2010-07-08
Avoid regions Bank at all costs. They have no interest in you other than to charge fees at the drop of a hat. Several time now they hold deposits and then charge a fee for NSF. Transfers are held and they have no heart. We opened a saving account with them and they pay a whopping. 08% interest. Their interest is in the stockholders not the customer.

You're correct. They're like all banks.

Are they holding deposits longer than stated in the account's Terms of Service? If so, I'd complain to the state banking commission.

When you made the deposit on the the receipt it will tell you when the funds are available. Did you ask the teller why the funds are not available.

Try Chase Bank they pay a whopping .001 percent on all types of accounts even their Premier accounts. They also charge a $20.00 service fee if you don't keep a whopping $15,000 balance daily. All Banks are like this now. Buy a safe and keep your money at home. And next year you are going to pay a whopping 39.5% tax on your interest. The IRS can just have all of my 17 cents a month interest. Close the account-you bet I did.

You should opt out of the overdraft protection. That way the transactions will just decline and you won't be paying any NSF fees.
