TELUS Complaint - Wow! What A Mess - New Deal From Telus

KAMLOOOPS -- I took Telus up on their new promotion. The one where you get a "free" laptop if you bundle your cable, internet & phone with them. They didn't happen to mention that they contract the installation out. From what happened at my home during installation you could tell this person had never done this before in his life. He was in and out at least 100 times (with his shoes on)He left sawdust and cpyrock dust all over the place. He took my motion senor light (outside) off to ground a wire and of course never put it back properly. It's just hanging there. The contractor installed 2 PVR's into my home and showed me some awesome stuff that the new PVR's could do, like pause a TV show. Wow!, I thought I can't live with out this...this is great ! Then he told me the PVR's that I had already paid for were not the same as the one's he installed.

The one's I bought were $199.00 ($222.88 with tax)but the one's he installed were $399.00 plus tax.

He told me the only channels I would see previewed were the one's I had subscribed to. So I would not have difficulty trying to figure out which channels came with the package and the one's that didn't. Pooey. Wrong again. I get hundreds of channels...most of them aren't in my package.

So now my roof has holes in and a useless satellite dish sitting up there..... for what ? Never again with Telus !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm assuming you're in Karnloops, BC. These websites may be helpful to you: http://www.consumerprotectionbc.ca (this looks like a pretty good site) and also http://www.gov.bc.ca (it looked like they had some consumer protection advise and phone numbers here, but I just glanced at it).

I haven't personally had any dealings with Telus however I firsthand wintnessed with my son, and 2 friends the complete incompetance of Telus as a company. The products and service and less than acceptable and the hours and hours being put on hold trying to resolve problems chewing up cell phone minutes because your telus land line is screwed up or rather a dead line which you will be charged for even though it may be a week for them to send out a technician. And yes, the technicians appear to be untrained and "winging it". I will never consider Telus to be provider of anything. Oh and one last rant, my friend got reprimanded from the customer service agent for his tone after the agent was proving to be useless and argued with us when we asked for his supervisor. You have got to be kidding!!!!!!!!
