Country Lincoln Mercury West - Service Center Complaint - Stay away from this Dealership

Review by gal42 on 2010-07-08
OCEANSIDE, NEW YORK -- Paul the owner is greedy and every thing he says and does is a result of him being gluttonous. I called for a repair. I work and can’t take off from work, so the warranty arranged a tow track to tow my car to their shop. It took him three days (I was calling constantly giving excuses: not here, out to lunch and so on...) to finally tell me that I will have to layout $2000.00 and the warranty will have to pay him the same amount. I asked for the quote so I can negotiate with the warranty company. Every time I called Paul he said he would call me back and never did. Three days past and he still never sends me the papers. I called and said that I have arranged another tow track to take the car to another place. That time he called me back saying that the warranty is a crap, (his words), and that I have no other choice. We argued and I told him that he is so hungry for the money that I can not work with him. When the tow truck returned my car to my home the car was all opened up: engine completely apart, radiator electric wires all over (he knows that no one could diagnose an open car), and he removed some parts. He got it in one piece and returned it in many. Now I have no choice but paying another mechanic putting it all together, and paying for parts that he took. Then get another diagnostic and repair it.

You probably mean greed, not gluttony (gluttony is overindulgence in food, drink, or intoxicants). Who is the warranty through, and was it purchased from this dealership? If not, then they do not have to honor the terms, and I am lead to believe, based on your post, that this is a third-party warranty company and you will have a very difficult time collecting on it. However, if this dealership left your car in the condition you described, then you do have a valid complaint against them, but may need to resolve this through legal channels (small claims court).
