DirecTV Inc Complaint - Protection-Plan, or Unprotected-Plan
GRANITE BAY, CALIFORNIA -- I really think we the customers of DirecTV are being screwed by their dishonest revenue generation plans like their so-called protection-plan.
We had purchased their service protection plan, because the customer service people assured us that they will send their technician to repair the problems on-site, when needed. Well, it has been over 6 days without a working DTV service, and we must have spent over 15 hours on the phone listening to different people, in different countries, who try to give you the feeling that they are here in your neighborhood, working for a solution on the problem. All they want is to avoid spending service dollars by having you jump through hoops, so you will get irritated and tired of waiting on phone line.
On the other hand, if you follow their instructions and go on-line, you will find that reaching them via e-mail or fax, is impossible. They provide contacts for making your payments but nothing, or no means to file your complaints.
And through all of this, these drones from other parts of the world are hired by their local Call-Centers, to give you lip-service, which they are doing a great job! We believe that DirecTV and their competitors, have found a way to fleece Americans through their ever evolving scams, like hiring these foreign call centers, only to make you waste time on the phone and get irritated while waiting.
Each call we have made for tech service included over 1 hour of hold time. Since we could not afford any more of this irritation and waste of time, we have decided to enlist others with similar problems to join together and sue these theives in a civil class-action law suit. Please contact us if you have been put in similar situation so together we can bring their demise!
