Midas Complaint - They forgot to replace a part then insisted the part did not exist
MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON -- On 07/03/2010 I decided to get an oil change as I was going out of town for the 4th of July weekend. I took my vehicle to Midas as I had a coupon. They performed the work and told me I needed an air filter which they didn't have in stock. so I contacted schucks and they asked me if it were a round or square filter. I went outside and opened the hood, immediately I noticed there was a rather large part missing but I have no idea what to call it. They were closed. the kind man at schucks looked at it and told me it was probably a cover of some sort and that it would be ok to drive. So I go to the shop on Tuesday and they tell me there is no missing part, everything is there. The man who worked on my truck was on vacation. so I stopped there today (Tuesday the 13th) and asked if she found my part, "there is no missing part" she says. so basically you're saying I'm hallucinating, I say. listen to this "i think you are confused" is her reply.(completely condescending} I asked did you speak to the man who worked on my vehicle? no because he is not in until tomorrow. bla bla bla. she is treating me like this without even asking the mechanic......
