Ashley Furniture Complaint - Delivery Issues
We purchased (paid in full) the referenced set on March 27, 2010 and at that time were told that the bed might take a while to be delivered. Based on a prior experience (with a different company) where we purchased and never received a piece due to discontinued manufacture, we requested a clause be included that would allow for us to receive a refund if the bed weren't delivered within 6 months. Seems we should have made the clause cover every piece as we now have our new bed and getting the other items is proving to be a nightmare. After several delays and requests to deliver piecemeal (remember you have to keep the day open for each delivery), my husband was given a delivery date of 24 Jul for the rest of the set. Now I'm told the chest and mirror will not be available until late August or early September. My concerns over ending up with only a partial set, not to mention the inconvenience of a bedroom in shambles and the need to be available on multiple days, is enough to cause regret over purchasing from Ashley. Trying to get a person who actually understands the problem is impossible.
All I'm told is that there could be many reasons for the unavailability. If I could understand the problem, I might have a little more confidence that eventually I will have all the pieces even with the inconvenience of the process.
