National Restaurant Association Complaint - ServSafe - Recertification

Review by jimbo4315 on 2010-07-14
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I was recently told by the National Restaurant Association that my ServSafe manager certification examination which I took "on line" 3/22/10 would no longer be recognized. This on line program is offered by them for a fee.

I spent about $150 to take this test and I am a certified Proctor through the servsafe safe program. In essence a K. Stienmetz who works for them has determined that I have lied when I swore that I used no other information while taking this test. Basically they are saying I cheated which upsets me.

I never understood the concept of taking tests online and getting certifications or diplomas when there is no proof that a person has or hasn't cheated. I am not insinuating that you cheated, but how can this be proven by either party?
