Corvette Complaint - Plastic starter button cover

Review by BIG3 on 2010-07-14
Recently my corvette with only 41000 miles on it had the little plastic cover split in two. The switch and starter worked fine but the plastic cover for the starter aethetically split down the middle did not look like one would expect in a corvette. I brought the car to Clark Chevolette in Pinehurst, NC to have the cover reglued or replaced. This is a piece of plastic about 1 1/2"high X 3/4" wide. I had suggested if it ran over $6 to $12 give me a buzz. No call!!! Bill for the little plastic cover was over $210. Be very careful of your GM dealors. I was due to trade my car this month which is why I did not want to see the crack in the starter button cover. I no longer trust any GM product and will buy elsewhere. The level of stupidity of some of the dealors is why they got the reputation that put them under. They have not learned.

the miles doesn't matter too much on a part such as that. How often do you drive it and how old is the vehicle?
Not to knock the car, but for all the money you spend your buying the engine. The interior looks a whole lot like my grandparents old Lumina.
