Ashley Furniture Complaint - Terrible Customer Service
My wife and I purchased an entire living room set, couch, love seat, chair, coffee table and end tables for a total of $7000, We were told wqe would have to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery, we accepted that.
While waiting, I had read horror stories about Ashley furniture and their customer service on line, they are brand new in Rochester NY so we were not aware of their "reputation".........I am now!!!
We received the "we will deliver" call last week for our furniture.
I asked them to ensure that our furniture was "actually in the store".....they called me back and "verified" it was there. I also asked them to please schedule between 8-12 OR 1-4 so either my wife or I could be home AM or PM to accept delivery, they agreed. They then said they would call two days before delivery to make sure we were still OK with the date.
Well I got that call on Saturday afternoon, still on schedule, need to make sure we still OK with delivery between 10 and 2.....I gave in and said at least call us before you drive out.....30 minute call ahead, cool, that works. Furniture should be here on Tuesday.
Monday night, 9:30 PM, they call my house, my wife and I had just moved everything out of our living room.......in the rain. The promptly tell us that the furniture was not on the truck that just came in, sorry your furniture won't be here for another week.....the customer service representative I spoke to was the most indignant, condecending person I have ever had the mispleasure of talking to.
I will never purchase another stick of furniture from Ashley again, I caution you to consider reading as much as you can about them BEFORE you decide to purchase ANYTHING from their stores.
Here's a kicker........in today's internet age.....they don't have any "contact info" for the company.............now I know why!!!!!
