Best Buy Complaint - Computer Lemon
Purchased HP Pavilion for $749.00 on 4-13 09 with extended warranty for additional $299.00 Computer suddenly shuts down. Returned it to Best Buy for repair, waited three weeks, they called me to pick up it up, they said motherboard was bad, brought it home turned it on after 3 min. it shut down again. I returned it to Best buy next day 6-19-10 I got a call about 3 hrs. later telling me the power cord was bad and not charging the battery, after waiting a week I got a new power cord in the mail, I charged computer over night turned it on the next morning and after about 3 min. it shut down again. returned the computer again to Best Buy on 6-24-10 waited about three weeks picked it up at Best Buy, another motherboard, went home turned it on and after about 3-5 min. it shut down again. I returned to Best Buy now a fourth time 7-9-10, still not fixed or replaced. So I wait about two weeks this time they tell me the Vista operating system went bad. I get a call from them I pick it up and guess what happens after about 3-5 min. it shut down again!!!!! After 4 repair attempts they still will not replace the computer. They said power cord and operating system (vista) are not hardware problems and for replacement it has to be 4 hardware problems like the motherboard. So after about two months of no use of my computer it still not fixed. I have all paperwork showing all repairs and actual dates, every comment about computer problems are taken from Best Buy service orders.
