La Quinta Inn provo, Ut Complaint - Horrible, dirty, run down hotel!

Review by lstownsend on 2010-07-16
PROVO, UT, UTAH -- This hotel does not have an elevator even though it is an indoor hotel. You'll have to navigate stairs with your luggage. The first thing I noticed was the strong smell of sewer in the dark hallway to the room. Upon entering the room the first thing I noticed was the filthy, dirty carpet. Upon further inspection I also found pubic hair in the bathtub, embedded dirt in the crevices and on top of the coffee maker, dust upon the bed skirts along with strings hanging off it. The room was in desperate need of remodeling. This room was disgusting, I checked out within 20-30 minutes of arrival. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. It's obvious there is not any pride of ownership in this business. I booked this room for 7 nights through cheaptickets.com I still cannot get my 7 nights refunded. Cheaptickets cannot get the manager on the phone. It's been 2 days now and he won't return the call, he's not available, or he's not in. Cheaptickets said the manager has to approve it before they can refund my money. I will never book through a 3rd party again, AND I will NEVER stay at a La Quinta Inn.

Did you check with the lobby to find if they could get you a different room? I can appreciate your frustration, but they're not able to read your mind and, unless you ask, they can't do anything about it.

They may not get you a refund at all, let alone in full. If they've reserved the room for seven nights, they may not refund anything to you at all. What does your agreement say with cheaptickets? How much are you being charged for?

Please, let us know.

With all respect lstownsend, you've given a different story on a similar complaint to cheaptickets, published along side this one. This one claims you requesting a refund and not staying at the hotel for one reason, the other claims an entirely different reason.
