Vizio Complaint - Vizio Unreliable - Vizio 32: Vp322 Plasma Tv

Vizio 32: Vp322 Plasma Tv - Complaint
Review by Phil, Amarillo, Tx on 2010-07-17
Purchased TV in Dec. 2008. Had just turned on TV and it popped and went completely black with no sound. Did not purchase extended warranty as they usually end up not paying anyway for repair for some reason.

Vizio technician promised a courtesy service call, then backed out because TV was getting power. Doesn't make sense. It is a shame as the TV had a beautiful picture but will never buy any VIZIO product and will advise others to do the same. TV's shouldn't go out after 18 mos.

Buyers beware of this brand.

Also look around if your somewhat a technical person most times the issue with these LCDTV's is bad capacitors.
Check out www.badcaps.com

It's not Just Vizio that has gotten bad caps many other brands as well.

There isn't a brand name manufacturer of TVs on this site. Vizio is no different. They are, however, a tier three manufacturer of products, something one should be aware of and hesitant to purchase if they want any form of assurance that the product won't have problems.

What kind of TV are you considering to replace it with?
