Spirit Airlines Complaint - Spirit Airlines lack of caring
Relatives of mine flew on Spirit to come to Michigan to visit family. During the last days of their visit, his grandmother died and had wished him to be a pallbrearer at her funeral. When they tried to change their flight, the person they talked with from Spirit told them the total to change was $800.00. They explained the circumstances and it made no difference. There was two days difference between the flights and it still made no difference. They had to make money so even though it was because of a death in the family they would have to pay the $800.
This was cruel and extremely uncalled for as far as I am concerned. They are a young family, just starting out and there was no way they could afford to pay $800 more for that flight. Needless to say he was unable to make his grandmother's funeral - thanks to the inhuman treatment by Spirit. I will never fly with Spirit. If it is a choice of flying or driving I will drive to the west coast to visit my grandchild.
