Juniper/Barclays Bank Informative - Terms and Agreement changes - New annual fee
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE -- I have had a credit card with Juniper/Barclays Bank for quite a while now. I have never had any problems whatsoever with this card. However, I got a letter in the mail about changes to the cardmember agreement. I open it up and it says how they are making changes to the cardmember agreement and starting on Sept. 1st they will be offering a 1% cash back on all purchases. I'm thinking cool! Maybe I'll start using the card a little more often and can get some cash back credited to my account. So I keep reading and there it is..."while responding to industry-wide economic conditions we will be applying an annual fee to your account starting Aug. 31st" Blah, blah, blah. "You can reject the changes by calling us..."
So, needless to say come Aug. 30th I will no longer be using this card. Now I don't know if this applies to all of their credit card accounts, but if you get something like this in the mail, make sure you read and understand it all.
