Cakewake Complaint - Cakewalk Lack of Tech Support

I recently bought Music Creator 5 thinking that it would be a good program. Since I have had it for over a month now, and still cannot get it to work and now I can't get it to load on my computer. After several attempts to get help, I either can't get help or they don't know what they are doing at Cakewalk. I am hoping I can get help to get it to work or a refund so I can get something that does work.

Hi Gabriel. I'm glad you took the time to post. Cakewalk does some incredible MIDI packages, but you've got to make sure you have the supported hardware. Frankly, I'm not sure what kind of technical support is given with the package. Federal law controls the purchase and return of all forms of media in order to control unauthorized copying. Have you tried to get a hold of them through their website?

I have tried to talk to Cakewalk, constantly, they have been very little help. There process of helping is to try to make it has difficult has possible. I constantly have to use there idiotic form and type in the serial number everytime, just ridiculous. I had it working until I put the patch it the 5.0.5 patch, it hasnt worked since. I am installing it on a Vista Sony Laptop Vaio. The fact remains it was working till the patch was installed now I cant even load the program. I want restitution from the company for it. I will never buy a piece of Cakewalk software again even if it is free I will not use it, I am so unhappy with Cakewalk I have been treated really badly. I am not the only person having problems with either. Just try to give a review on MC5 or find an honest reveiw about it because there isnt one. from any users. STAY AWAY FROM CAKEWAY FOREVER.

I've done quite a bit of tech support and I think I may be of some help if you'll have the patients and work though this online.

First, how much software do you have installed on your Sony? What programs are there?

I am totally with you on Cakewalk Tech support!! It is awful. They do offer a decent program for the price but if you run into any issues with it you are basically on your on. Even the supervisors seem to have no desire to help. It's so frustrating to spend hard earned money on a product and then not be able to use it. I will definitely be a one time only cakewalk purchaser!!

Cakewalk and all there programs are garbage.
The customer service is non existent and they will
not refund your money no matter what. They just steal your money. Pathetic. Don't buy.
