Sears Complaint - Don't buy any Sears Warranty!
I've bought several Sears applicances over the years, I never bought the warranty before my last dryer and will never buy it again! Any other service I called in for without a warranty was done within 3 days. My salesman pointed out how with a warranty all this would be covered and that even 1 regular service call is covered......I took the bait. After one year, our dryer broke. We called Sears Sunday, July 11th and was told the earliest someone would be here Thursday July 15th between 1-5pm. I thought this was long, but figured we could wait and go to the laundromat. I waited all day Thursday! NO ONE SHOWED! I called the customer service and was told the technician must have run late and they would have to reschedule. The reschedule date is today July 19th and again, I am sitting here waiting 'til 5pm to see if they show. I spoke to supervisor Edwin who basically told me, too bad we have your money and you have to wait! I've already spent about $30 drying my clothes at the laundromat, which did not seem to concern him. I asked for his boss, at which time he told me, he doesn't have one and gave me the same "Sears cares e-mail" which don't get back to you. Lesson here for everyone, DON'T BUY THE WARRANTY!!! IT'S A SCAM AND IF YOU CALL THEY'LL GET TO YOU WHEN THEY CAN. LIKE ME YOU'LL END UP SPENDING MORE MONEY AT THE LAUNDROMAT AND ON THE WARRANTY THAN IF YOU JUST PAID FOR THE REPAIR!
