Herrschners Complaint - Problem With Craft Kit Item Bought Through The Mail

Review by harameina on 2010-07-19
STEVENS POINT, WISCONSIN -- I ordered a Christmas Table topper from Herrschners around 1999 and immediately ran into problems with it as the directions were written in a foreign language. I contacted the company for help because I couldn't figure out how to sew the pattern and they refused to help me. I did eventually figure the pattern out but then I ran out of the gold thread and contacted the company again and asked for more thread. They first refused to help. Then around 2006 they agreed to give me the thread. They said I just needed to send them more information about the kit, which I did. Then they again refused to help.

I have this table topper which is almost finished and I would like to finish it and Herrshners has refused to give me the thread or tell me where I can get more thread. The thread is Maderia Art No 9812 Made in Germany.

Please post a picture when you are finished; I want to see what a tree topper that takes 11 years to complete looks like.

I googled Madeira thread and came up with these sources: madeirausa.com, www.embroiderthis.com, www.Crafts.Shopzilla.com. Hope this helps.
