Really for a phone we have to pay for by monthly service and charged by minutes - I don't think we the consumers should have to lobby to get this stopped, also it was part of our understanding when we signed up for cell phone services – our numbers would not be published. I will contact the FCC.gov with any violations immediately and y’all do the same. http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html

I received text messages from companies so that is why I had text messaging disabled. I don’t need telemarketers sucking up my minutes and time plus leaving long voice messages = that I have to pay for = and neither do y’all. My cell phone is for emergencies, when I am out, out of town so people can contact me if need be. I signed up on the do not call .gov list when it first came out, if I get any one calling me that I did not give my number to the FCC and FTC will have a lot of complaints filed against Cingular and whomever is calling. There must be a group out there lobbying against this.
