United States Postal Service Complaint - Package Delivery
I have my mailbox out by the curb. When I get a package that is too big for the mailbox, the carrier leaves it on the ground--sometimes beside the box, sometimes not. I have tracked several packages that indicated the package had been delivered to me, but I never received them. One was a Christmas present mailed on December 19 and I received it the middle of February. Everywhere else I have lived, if a package was too big for the mailbox, the package was placed by my front door.
All of my neighbors have their mailboxes on the front of their houses, so the carrier has to walk to their front door to deliver all mail. When I called the post office and suggested that perhaps I would have better service if I removed the curbside mailbox, I was told if I did that, the postal service would no longer make deliveries.
My postal service at work for my benefit and convenience!
