Sears Complaint - SEARS Service and Repair SUCKS
PEORIA, ILLINOIS -- Bought a "Top of the line" Craftsman mower last year in September. About a month ago I hit a raised water shutoff in the neighbors front yard and bent the crank. I took the mower to Sears for repairs and admitted that the problem was my fault. Got the mower back and paid the 140$ and everything was cool. I got home put gas in the mower and could not get it to start. Put the mower back in the shed and got out my old mower and mowed my lawn. A week later I got the Craftsman back out and pulled the cord and it started right up. Made 3 passes on my yard and the mower made the most horrific sound and popped. A piece came flying out from under the mower and cut my leg. The piece was off the self propelled pulley above the blade. Took the mower back to Sears and sent it back to repair. NOW the repair department calls me and tells me its going to be another 230$ to repair the mower. It needs a new short block and some other stuff! The problem was not my fault and now they will not honor the warranty! They said the blade was bent due to me hitting something and causing the crank to stop and breaking the pulley. I AM NOT THAT DUMB SEARS!!!!!!! I refused the repairs and will probably have to fork out another 3-400$ for another mower which WILL NOT BE FROM SEARS OR CRAFTSMAN product! I got 550$ into the piece of crap they will not fix already. THANKS FOR F&$King another loyal customer Sears! NEVER AGAIN!
