Colonial Crossings of Williamsburg Complaint - Gross misrepresentation

Complaint
Review by dianedyer on 2010-07-22
WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA -- I bought into Colonial Crossings in 2005 on the promise of an indoor waterpark, lazy river, underground cavern waterpark, horseback riding, tennis, restaurants, etc. It won't ever happen even though thats their main sales pitch. York County said they won't even turn the water rights over to them. The brand new building they just built in front of the small stupid shaped pool they have that cuts out most of the sun, is sinking and has to be torn down. No one can even stay in it. I only bought this for the amenities and now they won't have any. Its an awful place to stay. Its boring and theres nothing to do there. Is there someone out there that knows whats going on with this place and if something can be done about this outrageous lie they use to sell us on?? Thanks!

If you are in Williamsburg, just hop on over to Busch Gardens or their water park; tons of fun

I wonder if there is anything you can do based on the misrepresentation and the fact that they will not be able to provide what was promised. Would be interesting to check out that angle?

I think at this point, you might need to contact a lawyer, just to see what can be done. IF it can be proven they knew the water rights were never going to be turned over, you might have a leg to stand on so to say.

I agree with MD! Go to Busch Gardens! We used to go every at least once a year, and enjoyed the Gardens, as well as Kings Dominiom.

Definitely contact a lawyer since it doesn't seem like you're getting anywhere with the company. I haven't read the other reviews, but just looking at the titles, looks like no one is happy with this place.

I'm sure the OP would love to go to Busch Gardens or Kings Dominion, but he or she paid to own a timeshare (right, it's a timeshare?) with a waterpark included. So that advice kind of isn't really helpful.

"Hopping over to Busch Gardens really isn't a helpful comment...we are paying thousands for this time share....that was the whole basis of the sales pitch. We all knew how close by Bush Gardens is...and Water County...but that wasn't the point. Funny...but Massanutten Resort made the same promis around the same time...and they DID build their waterpark. Feeling duped!

ESPECIALLY for the person that purchased in 2005- you have firm legal ground to stand on apparently. There has allegedly been fraudulent activities with the management/development of Colonial Crossings by Land'Or International. If you would like to join with others (such as myself) in filing a lawsuit, act quickly and contact:
