Homepot Complaint - Payment Over Phone - Payments

CHURCH HILL, TENNESSEE -- I had been trying to make a payment over phone for about 2 hrs eastern standard time, so when I finally got on the phone to make a payment it was 4:45 by the time I got all my information to the lady is was 2 minutes after 5 pm and the lady said I would be charge with a $39 late fee I then told the lady that I had been over the phone with the co. for about 15 min. and ask her will they not charge me with the late fee, she said sorry, how many operators do they have on duty doing the time from 1-5pm when closing time. Well I can never get my bill down If I have to pay late fee. I know I should call a day before which I have been doing but since last Oct. I have had both of my knees operated on with total knee replacement and I am having some financial problems.

Unfortunately, they see it as late, due to the fact, it was past 5PM, and the cut off time was 5PM. Could you possibly pay it earlier in the month, and earlier in the day, to avoid something like this happening again?

I think I agree with everyone else here. I appreciate your financial situation, but your payment sounds as if it was considered late. It would be nice if they waved it one time, as long as you're not showing a pattern. Unfortunately, that is completely up to them. If they are strictly by the rules, you're going to be on the line for paying the late fee.
