HONOLULU, HI -- 1. Unjust Enrichment
No proper/sufficient pre-guidance for consumers for NO REFUND/CHANGE/CANCELLATION policy. I wished to cancel the booking 2 weeks prior to the tour but I couldn't because the cheap tickets.com would not refund at all. Why is that? Who will take the money? hotel? local transportation? cheaptickets.com?? Whoever takes the money, it can be regarded unjust enrichment. They may charge a penalty but not take all of payments. It’s unfair.
2. They provided wrong information; long telephone number / long tour time. For this, I spent USD 100 to make a call from Barcelona to their customer service center at the number starting +44. Of course, it’s UK number and international phone charge I must pay. Booked an activity, a gourmet tour. Their voucher stated it starts from 10.30 but actually it starts from 10. I, the person who arrived the tour 10.15, missed the trip but the cheaptickets.com said “services not supplied by the provider, you may qualify for a refund.” No apology for what they did.
3. They insisted that they provided terms and conditions in tiny, tiny small letters but it should have communicated to consumers clearly and precisely if they can be unfavorable to consumers. It’s obvious that they made lots of fault as long as my trip is concerned, I couldn’t imagine this kind of ugly business practice can go on.
4. Most disappointing thing is no one apologizes for inconvenience I had from them.
