Comcast Corporation Complaint - Authorized User - Cable Service Billing
HINESVILLE, GEORGIA -- I have current Comcast Cable service and I noticed in October that there had been a transfer of 242.00 on to my account. I called Comcast and spoke with Angel, I was told that they did not know where it had came from but would do an investigation. I called again in November and spoke with Angel again and was told the same thing. By December the amount had still not been removed nor could anyone tell me what it was from. In December I am getting disconnect notices telling me that unless I pay the full amount then my service would be disconnected. I called again in December, again speaking with Angel, and was told the same thing as I had been previously. I called again on Friday, January 21 and Spoke with Lekeisha, and after being left on hold for over 20 minutes I was asked if I knew Justin. I said yes, that he was my husband. They first said that he had written a bad check to them and that was what the amount was, I told them that they were wrong, because I was the only one who paid this bill, and I had only sent one check and it was for $57.40 in September. Then she put me back on hold and came back about 10 minutes later and told me that my husband has a account and that because we are married and living in the same house that I must pay his bill to be able to keep my service. I was in shock. I NEVER signed up with him for his service. I told Lekeisha that I did not know that I was his authorized user and how could I be held responsible. She just kept telling me the same thing, that if I did not pay the bill then they would disconnet my service and send me to collections. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she put me on hold again, 8 minutes later she came back on and told me that there was not one available, I asked her to have one call me, she told that I must go into the local office and prove that I did not live with my husband during this time. I again asked to speak with her supervisor, she told me again, that there was no one available to talk with me, I gave her a new contact phone number and asked her to have someone call me ASAP, she said she would. I waited Friday, Saturday and most of today, Sunday. I called today and spoke with William, he told me that I am resposibe due to the fact that I live with my husband. I dont think that is true but I do not know how to prove it. He was no help. I asked him to remove me as authorized user from my husband account and he refused. I also asked him to remove the transfer and he refused again, refering me back to the local office. Is there anyone who can help me?
