Select Comfort Complaint - Air leak gets hot air response - Select Comfort Bed
Select Comfort Bed - Complaint
Review by 1Sleepygal on 2010-07-23
I dreamed of having a good night's sleep and decided Select Comfort was the way to make it happen. I purchased the dual chamber queen size mattress and platform but after 10 months, the foam center divider broke down. Select Comfort Customer Service was excellent! The solution they provided was to send a single chamber mattress to replace the dual chamber mattress but they were not replacing the power unit and promised everything would be OK. It is important to note that I LOVED sleeping on this bed! It was everything I had hoped it would be and more!
From the first night I slept on the single chamber mattress, the air leaked out to the point where I could feel the hard support beneath the mattress. Every night it was the same story. Sometimes, the air loss would be so huge that it would wake me up and I would have to pump up the mattress. After several frustrating phone calls to customer service and being told that it is normal for the mattress to lose air (sometimes 50 points????) due to weather changes and they would do nothing for me. I spoke to supervisors and everything and am always respectful in my conversations. I am completely frustrated by the complete lack of customer service and they managed to out stall me and let this slip past the 2 year anniversary.
Since I would rather sleep on the garage floor than my Select Comfort bed, obviously, I must get a new bed - but what kind of bed? I was set to be a lifetime devotee to Select Comfort and they just won't let that happen.
Is there any recourse at all for this situation? Like a previous poster, I never got my rewards certificate despite repeated efforts to make that happen. That shouldn't come as any surprise since I have been waiting 29 years for a Mr. Coffee rebate....
