Moving Van 24ft - Complaint

CARROLLTON, KENTUCKY -- I prepayed for a 24ft moving van online and had an email sent to me confirming the payment. So the day of the move I woke up early and prepared for my move from Kentucky to Maryland. Showing up to the predetermined pick up point I noticed that there wasn't any moving vans there. The manager at Millers Muffler Pro and budget rentals in Carrollton Ky informed me that Budget never sends Vehicles to him and also that he never received any info on my reservation. I called Budget and they told me that they only guarantee the price and not that there will actually be a van available on the day of the move. So basically they sold me something that they didn't have! I called Budget and they told me that I can drive 127 miles and pick one up! Or option number 2 I could wait a day and they would deliver within 60 miles so I didn't have to drive as far. I don't understand how a company this size can do this to people and be so heartless about it. Moving is a huge day in anyones lifes unless you own an RV. It involves tons of planning and a lot of help from others. Thank god for U-HAUL or I would have been screwed. The guy at Pauls Tire and UHAUL in carrollton Kentucky matched Budgets price and informed me that he has to do that all of the time because budget never has trucks when they tell people that they do. Budget was rude, could not locate their own trucks, and should not be allowed to sell a product that doesn't exsist. I do not ever recommend doing business with this company over the internet or phone.
