Newport News Complaint - Still waiting for my item to ship... - necklace

Well, I ordered an item from Newport News online and I am still waiting to receive it. I ordered it July 6th, and today on the 24th I call customer service who tells me that it will ship out on the 27th. Three weeks is way to long to wait for an item to ship, but they don't actually have the item they sold me.
And while I have received numerous E-mails attempting to sell me more products, the company apparently could not notify me that my item was out of stock and would take longer than usual. When I first contacted customer service they told me that my item was going to ship a week ago. I was also disappointed to find that both times I spoke with them their customer service was completely unsatisfactory.

From the looks of previous reviews this is a reoccurring problem with this company. It might be a good idea to shop with somebody else.
