Red Lobster Complaint - Nasty hostess locked me outside of the restaurant while my food got cold. DO NOT eat here.
BARTONSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA -- My family and I went to Red Lobster in Bartonsville, PA for a late dinner on a Saturday night around 10:30 PM, which is an hour before their closing time. Around 11PM, I stepped outside to get something from my car while we were waiting for our entrees.
When I tried to come back inside, the door was locked. Then, the hostess who seated me came outside and told me that I wasn't allowed to come inside because it's their security policy to lock the doors after a certain time. I explained to her that I just went to grab something from my car and that my family was inside waiting to eat with me but she said "Too bad!" and refused to let me back inside. I told her that if she wasn't going to let me in to eat my food then I wasn't paying for it. She laughed and slammed the door in my face.
I called my family and they were outraged. They left immediately. As we were walking away, the the manager comes outside trying to diffuse the situation. It turns out the hostess lied to her and told her that I refused to come back inside and pay for my food. When she heard what actually happened, she apologized and told us to come inside to eat. When we got to our table, our food was cold. The hostess stared at us and laughed hysterically. This disturbed us even more and we told the manager to forget the whole thing and we left.
That's so unbelievably unprofessional. DO NOT eat there.
