Slumberland Inc Complaint - Do not buy anything unless it is IN STOCK!!
ALBERT LEA, MINNESOTA -- Went to the Albert Lea, MN Slumberland store on Tuesday, March 16 to look at new couches. Found a Lazy Boy couch with recliners on both ends-much like the couch I am replacing. The only color they had it in on the showroom floor was a dark chocolate brown. Wanted it in tan so it would match my other furniture. Had to order it from the factory-not a problem. Was told couch should arrive around Easter, which was April 4. I can wait 3 weeks....Today is Monday, July 26. I still do not have my couch, and no one from Slumberland has called to tell me anything. I am done contacting them. Enough is enough. 2 different people from the Slumberland store called in early to mid July to tell me that my couch would be in and delivered on Friday, July 23. I stayed home most of the day and the few times I did have to leave I checked my caller ID as soon as I got home. No call from Slumberland. Sent an e-mail to corporate headquarters-which is in Little Canada, MN-got a reply from the person assigned to complaints which was more or less saying oh well. Thought that they would at least look into it to see if they can help me out.
They will send my e-mail on to the Albert Lea store. Do they think the store in Albert Lea doesn't know about my couch situation? In closing-will never purchase from a Slumberland store again. Boo to all of them, their poor customer service, and their nonchalant attitudes.
