Dell Computer Corporation Complaint - Do Not Buy Dell, they will treat you like trash
Bought a Dell laptop and an extended warranty. The outer casing on the computer cracked, and I called to have it fixed. They told me "no" because I had two computers from them.
I called and on two occasions, after waiting more than an hour, I was advised they could see that I did not have more than 1 computer, but they could not communicate with the correct department at that time to fix such. I kid you not. They said they would do something such that the communication would work through, but nothing ever happened.
The last three times I called, I asked them to fix it now. Two times I was put on hold for over 1.5 hours each time, waiting for a manager, until the call service closed, after being told they would not honor the warranty and not give me the warranty $ amount of my purchase back. The last time, the woman from another country told me (my wife is an immigrant, the point is that customer service should be located in the country of the purchasing consumer, otherwise communication problems will result) that they did not have to do anything because I had two computers. I told her not to be so insulting and pointed out that Dell would have come after me if I had an extra computer, for which I did not pay. I asked her why I couldn't have the warranty monies back since they would not honor the warranty. She said Dell was not in the business of doing so. When I demanded a manager, I was again put on hold for over an hour until the phone disconnected on Dell's side.
DO NOT EVER BUY DELL PRODUCTS. THIS MAY BE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INTENTIONAL RIP OFF I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED FROM A WELL KNOWN COMPANY.
