Bank of America Complaint - Bank of America doesn't care
After reading all of these reviews, I decided to post one concerning my own experience with Bank of America. I have been a loyal customer ever since they were considered to be Fleet Bank; even got my first credit card from them while I was in college. Now, I have always been a responsible credit card holder, paying my payments on time and even making sure I had enough money in my account, never wanting to overdraft. Recently, I had an issue where I had to pay my credit card a day late, received my paycheck the day after my due date. Calling up Bank of America to explain myself, I was told that this could not be done and that the only way to make a payment at the last minute was by phone along with a $15 pay-by-phone convenience fee! Now, I know this is across the board with other credit card companies (fees for pay-by-phone are common), but after being a loyal customer for over 10 years, never missing a payment and even calling to explain myself didn't get me anywhere, I went ahead, payed the fee and had to find where to get enough for the minimum payment. I am not here to complain, it would just be nice to know that being loyal and responsible enough to call would at least warrant a 'corporation' like this to understand and help their customers, instead of taking away.
