Bank of America Informative - Avoid B of A for Checking Savings andf VISA
PORTLAND, OREGON -- After I said all these dreadful things, I got a lovely call from the Branch Manager who apologized for taking a week to call me back. She
reversed more of the over-draft charges so now I only owe half of what was originally due.I feel better. All those years of being a loyal customer have not gone to naught!
Avoid opening a checking, savings or credit account at B of A under all circumstance. Try to find a credit union. For over 20 years, B of A was lovely to do business with since I kept big balances which they did not pay interest on and never had a late payment on their Visa.
Sadly, I wrote a check on the wrong B of A account, went camping and came home to find myself in a overdrawn capacity. I was a wreck. They had charged me with $350. of overdrawn fees! I went in to talk to customer service about removing some of these fees as I had deposited $5000. and believed I have overdraft insurance linked to my VISA. The customer service representative promised me that the branch manager would call me about the charges in 2 days. She/he never called. I found out that they denied my request to remove some of those fees by calling their 800 number. They did not have the common courtesy to call me.
