Lowe's Complaint - Forgotten Ice Maker
LIVE OAK, FLORIDA -- I purchased a new side by side refrigerator from Lowes on Friday night for delivery on Saturday afternoon. I also purchased the extended two year warranty on unit. Received a call Saturday morning that the only two in stock were dented or "dinged" and I could either received a discount and taken receipt of damaged refrigerator or wait until one could be ordered. Since my refrigerator had stopped working and it was the weekend I agreed to receive the damaged refrigerator with the discount. The delivery was made as promised Saturday afternoon. The delivery personnel setup the refrigerator and hooked up the icemaker. By late Sunday afternoon no ice had yet to drop in unit. Upon contacting Lowes we were told that we would have to contact the manufacturer and given a number. Upon calling the manufacturer we received a recording that GE service would be in our area Tuesday between 8:30 am and noon. Today is Thursday and no one has shown up to check ice maker as of yet. I feel since this was a brand new unit purchased from Lowes that never worked and especially since I purchased extended Lowes warranty they should have come back and checked refrigerator since it never worked upon delivery.
