Dish Network Complaint - Intentionally Misleading
FLORIDA -- I signed up with Dish Network last August. One of the reasons I selected their company was because of price and ability to change addresses at least once in that two years at no additional charges.
This August, I moved, and to change service addresses requires 100.00. I called and stated that I was told that I could change addresses with no charge. They stated that was a promotion offered at the time but they were allowed to change any of their offerings at any time with no breach of contract. I was told to read the "fine print" and that all companies operated that way. I would have never have selected Dish Network has I not taken them at their word when I signed up and then realized that they have essentially no contract to you but you are bound to them.
PLEASE PLEASE pull up their website and read what they can change or cancel at their discretion. This is a sorry way to do business.
I was told that they could change any of their agreements at their "whim"
I can't personally stand the local competitor, but at least I know where I stand.
