Hotwire, Inc Complaint - Deplorable customer service
Booked a last minute car rental (2 days notice) for pickup in my arriving city from a flight. The trip was cancelled at the last minute. When I tried to cancel the car rental, they said I couldn't. I offered to pick up the car in my home city, they wouldn't transfer or move it. I offered to take a credit for future use on a car rental, they didn't care. I asked to speak with a manager, "there isn't one." Are you kidding me?! The customer service agent repeated the word "policy" so many times I lost my mind. They have forgotten the 1st word in their customer service...that is the "customer." I had a bad experience once before with them & they resolved the issue quickly & painlessly. However, after this incident I refuse to ever do business with them again. If you think you're getting a good deal, just read the rest of these reviews on how atrocious the really are. Skip the frustration & go with the many other options available out there.
