Diary Queen Complaint - Just Bad - Ice Cream Cone

Review by GrandmaBenny on 2010-07-30
LENEXA, KANSAS -- I love dipped ice cream cones and look for DQ's any time I can, however on my way home from work last night I stopped at the DQ on College in Lenexa, KS for one and it was nothing like what I normally get. 1st I asked for a small dipped cone price at the drive it said $1.99. When I got to the window she said $2.27. I asked if tax was 14 cents on the dollar here and she told me it did go up at the beginning of July. When I got my cone it was not 3/4 to 1" over the cone part (I have never seen one so small). It used to be they were so tall you had to be careful not to let it fall off. NOT AT THIS PLACE. Then the chocolate was only on 1 side and very thin. Again it used to be it was so thick you had to be care when you bit into it so it didn't fall. NOT AT THIS PLACE.

I guess the owner and told them to do this but I won't be back. EVER!!!

Mmmmmmm...butterscotch.

Dairy Queen's here don't even sell butterscotch anymore. They only sell caramel. They say it's the same thing, but you know as well as I do, there's a world of difference!

It seems like the DQ you went to is being skimpy on the icecream. Id contact DQ headquarters and share your grievances with them.

Most DQs are franchises, so maybe the owner is being a cheap wad. I just would stop going there. If everyone who felt ripped off did, he would either go out of business, or fix his attitude.

Caramel and butterscotch are certainly not the same!
