Subway Complaint - Insubordinate manager
LEESVILLE, LOUISIANA -- My two sons and I went into the Subway on Entrance Rd in Leesville, Louisiana to order super. When we walked in, there was a line of about 7 customers and only one employee. We all waited patiently because we felt sorry for the poor guy working behind the counter. He was preparing sandwiches and running the register. In the process, two girls came in and one reached behind the counter and said something to the employee only to laugh and then go back out the door. As I moved closer to him in the line, I asked him if they were trying to get him to quit. He asked me what I meant and I told him that's what it looked like making him work a rush all alone. He told us it had been like that for two weeks and the girl that had come in and laughed at him was, in fact, the manager. On my way out I noticed she had been next door at a hair salon hanging out with friends. While he was fixing our food, two little boys from the salon had come in and were playing behind the counter grabbing cups and getting coke on the floor with no supervision. The poor employee was trying to control the situation and assist customers all alone. I finally asked the little boys where their mothers were so they fled back to the salon. Another customer felt so bad for the employee, he actually tried to tip the guy. I asked for the complaint number as I left and he didn't have one. I will continue with this until the manager gets the full attention she deserves because if you are going to lead a business, you need to have your big girl pants on.
