NCO Financial Systems Complaint - Disputing Settlement Offer
HORSHAM, PENNSYLVANIA -- I previously reviewed my credit report to find a derogatory posting from NCO. I contacted the agency to find out the details surrounding this claim and was told that this was an unpaid debt on my checking acct during a bank transition between Summit/Fleet/Bank of America which dates back to 1996. I explained to the agent that I've been banking with this organization since 1996 and always had bi-weekly direct deposits established between the bank and my employer. If my account goes into a negative status, my direct deposits would automatically over-ride any such actions but the agent refused to hear my claim and stated that the balance was still due. I asked the agent if she could provide me with any proof or details of this claim and she couldn't but explained that this account was handed over by Bank of America as an unpaid balance without any explanation. I asked her why haven't I been notified in over 6 years and she told me that "A" letter was sent to an address that I moved from over 6 years ago. I told the agent that my billing agencies were notified of my new address as well as the postal service who forwarded mail to my location and she still could not give me a thorough explanation. I knew I was getting no where with this agent so I ended the call. I immediately contacted Bank of America who explained that they don't have any records regarding this issue and for me to dispute this situation with NCO. I'm sending flaming letters to several organizations to resolve this matter. Wish me luck!
