Hajek Chevrolet Complaint - Shady Sales Tactics - Used Car

Review by disgruntled and unhappy customer on 2010-07-31
LONGMONT, COLORADO -- I tried to buy a used car from Hajek Chevrolet, and met with problems at every point. I have never had such a terrible experience trying to negotiate a sale. The salesperson changed her story, increased the price, didn't follow through with her promises, wouldn't give me a formal quote in writing, concealed fees from me, and in the end, sold the car out from under me after promising not to do so - and not even notifying me of the sale, leaving me to pay an outside mechanic who showed up ready to inspect a car that was no longer there. I don't know if it can be blamed on her inexperience or the dealer's sales practices, but I would avoid this dealership at all costs.

This is a normal course of business for car sales. These people make their money for a sale - are generally not paid hourly, no sale , no money. You will probably find this type of practice at 95% of auto dealers.

As a consumer, to assume the dealer would forgo a sale when you just may buy the car is outright ridiculous.

Despite that, you still intended to buy it. You may have lucked out by it being sold to someone else.
