Federal Express Corporation Complaint - FedEx delivery is very BAD. Customer no-service is worse!
ORLANDO SUBURBS, FLORIDA -- For years I have endured this
"POX" on American business! So many deliveries not made to me, no delivery notices left, some notices left on the road, and very bad mannered customer service representatives.
The latest disaster involved a shipment from a prominent American uninteruptible Power supply Company shipped via "FedEx" dispite my selection of a competing U.s.a. Parcel Shipping company for delivery.
After 7 days of nothing, I checked my order status from this American made uninteruptable Power supply Company and discovered the shipping switch. I recovered the tracking number for this sale.
I checked the "FedEx" web site and was not surprised to learn that this shipment was being held at the FedEx shipping warehouse due to the package being "undeliverable". (No signature available).
I am disabled and house bound! I rely on the Web for purchases and deliveries, including medications. I am here 24/7/365 PERIOD! Nobody--NOBODY came to my door anytime within the previous 30 days!
The following day my wife put the trash cans out for pickup, and as she was cleaning up the loose trash on the roadside, You guessed it! 20 or so feet down the road, on the road edge after an all night rain and having been run over by cars several times, was the "Door Tag"! There IS NO possible way this tag could have blown from our front door to this location! Thee were NO winds at all that evening, the previous, or any time within the previous month! It's 60 feet+ from the front gate to our door. We have a fenced in property with thick 8 foot shrubs all along the fence! This is typical treatment we receive from FedEx! (This has been happening to me on and off for YEARS!)
A recent discussion with the FedEx "Customer Advocate Rep." over this treatment resulted in an even more disgusting treatment!
I'm sure you all know the "Personality type" that is offended if you ask for her/his name (For your records)... and when it's pronounced, it's unintelligeable! If you ask for a spelling, you have offended them in a great way! From there it goes DOWN HILL! Obfuscation, repeating minor discussion details from several minutes prior and claiming that current minor details are at odds with previous details... The germain issue in question is ignored! After redirecting the "Rep" back onto the main issue, the reason for the call, the "Rep" falls back into the "Your not respecting my authority" mode! and round and round it goes.
I chose to tell her that I wanted to focus on the issue concerning "Failure to deliver and claiming that no one was home". Her response? "I'm ending this call because your Hostile"! The word "itch" comes to mind here... You know, like scratching the side of your head???... an "Itch".
An hour later I received a call from a senior manager in my area. He seamed to be aware of the problem... What I learned: FedEx uses independent subcontractors to deliver. I believe I understand the nature of the problem now.
FedEx gives your packages to anyone with a truck painted with FedEx colors. Good Luck!
On the bright side: Everyone spoke english!!! (To some degree). I received a follow-up call from a local manager who promised to follow-up on the non delivery issue...
