Geek Squad Complaint - Geek Squad Repair Men
ANTIOCH, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a plasma television from Best Buy a few years ago and bought a great warranty so I thought. If I would have known that the GEEK SQUAD was responsible for servicing all warranty issues I would have shopped ele where. First the television set is a 42" Phillips Ambilight plasma, which has had the power supply go out twice already(TV is crap). The first time it took 1 week for them to come out. He came out and took 5 minutes to tell us it was the power supply. Unfortunatly it took another week for him to come back. When he came back he came back with the wrong power supply. Another week for the right part to come in and a few extra days for an appointment. Did I mention this was the first time!!!!! Second time, it took one week for the Geek Squad to get out to my home. After diagnosing the problem myself and telling them over the phone that it was the power supply again, the guy shows up for 5 minutes and says its the power supply. Eventhough I told them it was the power supply, he has to order it and it would take 3-4 days. I just called in today and guess what? They have me down for August 12th, 2010, far from the 3-4 days that I was told. This company is full of liars and incompetent employees. It is such a shame that Best Buy that in general has great deals cannot find a partner that can at least keep there promisses to customers. I will no longer be shopping at Best Buy, and when the technician finally arrives at my home, you can believe it will be the last time. Moral of this story: There is someone worse than the cable company!!!!!!!!!
