Knoxville Wholesale Furniture Complaint - Bad craftsmanship - Bedroom furniture

Review by Madmoma on 2010-08-02
KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE -- I wanted to buy my daughter some new bedroom furniture she has always had hand-me-downs, she likes white furniture. I looked around and decided to buy it at Knoxville Wholesale which also owns Ashley furniture. When I went to pick it up and got it to her apartment and opened it, you would not believe the craftsmanship of the furniture There was brown spots in it. The bedpost were split and then half painted over, there were places that did not have paint at all. When I called about it they told me they would have to send someone out to look at it and see if he could fix it. He did come out the next day and then he had to report it back to the office. I spoke with the manager and was told for me and my daughter to come out and see if she could find anything else that she liked and she did just that and found something else but it was going to be $344 more and I did not have that extra money because I already paid all I could afford. I told them that I could pay $200 more but they would not even work with me on that after all it was not my fought that the other furniture was cheap. They would not even give me back my money. They assured me that they would try to find a perfect one to deliver to my daughter and pick up the other bad one. I told them I could not see how they could expect to find a perfect one. You can expect that maybe there would be one piece that might be bad but all 5. I told them that I would never step back into one of there stores every again.
