Travelocity Complaint - Computer trouble credit cards held up
I spent a thoughtful two hours reviewing information and planning a trip to go to Texas for my Dad's funeral. I entered the credit card information and it came back declined with no specific reason and suggested using another card which I did. That one also came back declined. I then called my credit card company (I actually called them before trying the charge to inform them of a higher dollar purchase) and they showed that my card HAD been charged. I went back to the Travelocity website and they showed no trips booked for me. I called customer service, a call which took about 20 minutes. They said that there must have been a computer problem and that there is no trip booked for me - also I will have to wait 24 to 48 hours for the charges to be dropped from my credit cards. This means I can't book my trip for 24 to 48 hours, so I may not get to book the trip I wanted, don't even mention all the time and trouble I went to in planning it.
I will not go through Travelocity when I do get to book my trip. Holding onto $2500 for two days, keeping me from being able to use my credit cards or book my trip is uncalled for.
