Baker College Complaint - Baker College AAS Medical Degrees - Limited Enrollment Caution

Complaint
Review by exoem on 2010-08-04
When considering pursuing admission into a "Limited Enrollment/Restricted Enrollment" medical program at Baker College, make sure you fully understand the criteria for gaining admittance. Ask questions up front. Don't make assumptions. Make sure you meet with the Dean or Program Director to determine how well you need to do on the prerequisites, expected performance on the entrance exam, impact of transferring in classes from another university and the impact of repeating any prerequisite courses. If entrance is based on a total point count, inquire what the range was for the highest and lowest student admitted to the prior year program start up. That way, you'll know what you have to target in the way of your performance. Do not strictly accept an answer that admission is based on competitive standing amongst the applicants. Dig for feedback. The economy has pushed many people back to school. Competition is strong amongst peers. You may be surprised how well you need to perform in order to get in to the program of your choice.

Best of luck to you!

Is Baker like Strayer University in that some degrees, courses, and programs are not acceptable/recognized by employers and other colleges?

I don't know the answer to your question.
